Quality Management System
The Improvement Management System is 'the organization, processes, procedures
and resources needed to implement Quality Management'. How you define
Quality Management is, of course, another question.
ISO9000 requires a Quality Management System to make it effective.
Having processes is not enough: they need a management system to ensure:
- They are the right processes for your business.
- They are appropriately (very important and often done wrong)
documented.
- They are kept up to date.
- People know how to use them.
- They work in practice to ensure business goals are met.
