Multi-Generational Plan (MGP)

A Multi-Generational Plan (MGP) is used in product planning or improvement projects to separate out in what versions different changes and features will be implemented.

This can be helpful in preventing 'scope creep' (also known as 'requirements creep'), which is the tendency to add 'just one more feature', as new ideas are pushed into a future version rather than squeezed into the current one. It is also helpful in planning for future changes that keep up with needs.
