Feigenbaum, Armand

Armand Feigenbaum, is one of the original quality gurus, famous at least for writing the book 'Total Quality Control: Engineering and Management' that was published in 1961. In his 1951 book, 'Quality Control: Principles, Practices, and Administration' he was approaching the idea in talking about 'Modern Quality Control'.

Like many of the gurus, he grew rather old and never stopped working. It seems like a formula for longevity (seriously: it has been shown that keeping the mind active is a key part of a long and happy life--and quality is certainly a good subject for doing this!).

Unlike the other gurus, Feigenbaum did not build his career in Japan. He practices, with his brother, in the USA.
