Frequently Committed Error (FCE)

A Frequently Committed Error (FCE) is an error that may occur multiple times within a process, for example when counting piles of coins, it is easy at any time to count incorrectly.

FCEs are of interest particularly in poka yoke where a simple device may be used to prevent the error from occurring, for example where a card cut to a particular height is used to measure a particular pile size.
