Five Z Accreditation

This is a method for sustaining process control. The 'Z' is an indicator of the final 'ZU' in the five areas to assess:

• Uketorazu: Do not accept defects in inputs from suppliers or other processes
• Tsukurazu: Do not create defects yourself
• Baratsukasazu: Do not create variation
• Kuruikaesazu: Do not repeat mistakes (learn from them and find ways not to repeat them using poka yoke)
• Nagasazu: Do not pass on defects to your customer processes
